Stuart’s law practice has concentrated on elder law issues, including long-term care for seniors, Medi-Cal planning, planning for Veterans and accessing VA benefits, asset protection, living trusts, wills, powers of attorney, advanced medical directives and other peripheral issues. His planning takes a comprehensive approach to long-term care planning considering personal, financial and legal issues, and implementation of the plan. Stuart is a frequent speaker on elder law issues. He has educated nurses, discharge planners and social workers in most of the hospitals in Southern California on Medi-Cal planning. He is often referred clients by the same hospitals and Health Care Professionals.

Stuart’s law practice also includes forming legal entities, such as corporations and limited liability companies, and drafting contracts for business clients. Additionally, he is co-counsel on several litigation matters from employment related issues to class action matters.

Stuart’s experience with seniors gave him the experience to create BedAvailability.com to assist seniors in finding care facilities and communities. BedAvailability.com has become a unique reference for senior placements in the care industry.

In Stuart’s personal life, he has enjoyed his marriage to Jayne Furman of twenty-one years. He is an accomplished violinist having begun the study of music at the age of nine. He helped form several symphonic organizations and has sat on the board of directors of several musical organizations. He has played as a member of several professional orchestras across the United States.
